Whether your daughter is ready for Rainbows, Brownies Guides or Rangers her journey starts here
Leatherhead Divison is further divided into the 3 districts of Ashtead; Leatherhead & Fetcham and Bookham & Effingham. Each is run by a District Commissioner and team that supports the Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Ranger units. Most of your daughter’s activities will be at unit level, but there will be regular opportunities to participate in events at District; Divison and even County level. As she gets older those opportunities will broaden and grow and Guides and Rangers can apply for selection to go on international adventures.
All of our units are run by volunteers and are very popular and most have waiting lists, your child will not automatically be guaranteed a place. It is important to get her name down as early as you can!

Joining
Once you’ve registered you will be added to the waiting list of your first choice unit. You should soon hear from the unit leader who will arrange a start date, and a visit if necessary. Please do be patient with us. Our unit leaders are busy people and we are all volunteers, but we do endeavour to be in touch as soon as possible.
Cost
Girlguiding units charge subs to cover the cost of equipment, resources, annual subscription to be a member of Girlguiding and the hire of the meeting place. These are paid three times a year at the start of each term. Subs vary from area to area – your unit leader will be able to tell you how much the subs are and when they need to be paid.
There is usually an extra charge for special activities, days out, residential events and holidays.
Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a government scheme to encourage people to give to charity. Under the scheme, money given to charities is eligible for tax relief. Please ask your unit leader for a gift aid form if you pay UK tax as your daughter’s unit will benefit enormously at no extra cost to yourself, or download one here.
Uniform
Girlguiding is a uniformed organisation and we wear our uniform with pride. The modern uniform is comfortable, practical and ready for adventure.

Orders placed through your unit will qualify for a 10% discount and your unit will benefit too. If for any reason you cannot order through your unit you can contact the shop directly using the contact form below.

If you are interested in helping out in our area, we would love to hear from you!
We are always looking for people to help us within our units and behind the scenes. Whether you are new to Girlguiding or have been involved before, there is role for you, whatever your time commitment!
With so many girls waiting to join units not only in the Division but throughout the UK we always welcome grownups to come and help. The more volunteers we have, the more girls can join us and enjoy what we do.
No commitment is too small – every role is vital to running our charity.
If you would like to be able to fit volunteering around your home and work commitments or would like to share a specialist skill, get in touch with us.

We aren’t just looking for leaders!
We need people willing to share their skills: could you run a session and show the girls somthing new?
We need people to help with the admin: could you help a leader with her accounting or act as a verifier once a year? Are you willing to order supplies, sell uniform or keep track of girls records acheivement?
Perhaps you would be willing to help with the maintenance of one of our halls, or even the cleaning!
